Kent began working in the wine industry in 2016 in the Columbia Valley, Washington. He has worked at Walsh Family Wine since 2017, starting as a vineyard and cellar hand and working his way up to Winemaker. Additionally, he has completed certificate programs from Washington State University in both Enology and Viticulture.
Boden Young is Kent Arendt’s introductory label into winemaking. The label is representative of the youth and rapid growth of the Virginia wine industry. Boden, translating to ‘soil’ in German, is depicted on each label as a soil profile.
