About me
Joy Ting is an independent Virginia winemaker producing small-lot wines under her own label, Joy Ting Wine. She sources fruit from local vineyard partners and makes her wines at the Virginia Wine Collective in Charlottesville. Before launching her own project, Joy worked at Michael Shaps Wineworks, where she gained hands-on experience with a wide range of Virginia-grown varieties, sites, and winemaking styles. She now balances her own production with her role as Research Enologist for the Winemakers Research Exchange, where she works with Virginia winemakers on practical, production-scale research and industry education.
