He is the author of Godforsaken Grapes, which The New York Times named one of “The Best Wine Books of 2018” and Smithsonian included among its “Ten Best Food Books of 2018.” He is also the author of Boozehound, which Anthony Bourdain called “superbly informative, entertaining, and yet deeply subversive.” Serious Eats named Boozehound one of the “10 Essential Books for Cocktail Lovers.” His most recent book, The Cider Revival, was named one of The New York Times’ “Best Wine Books of 2019.”
Wilson served as series editor of The Best American Travel Writing annual (Houghton Mifflin) for 22 years.
